Ukraine Diaries
The recent events of this year has caused me to recollect our travels to Ukraine in 2003 and 2008. Our travels took us Kyiv and the Donbas region in 2003 to create our family and again in 2008 to Crimea for a reunion with friends. These memories are as raw and meaningful for me as they were back then. In that time we saw a country evolve from communism to emerge as a modern principality while cleaving to its ancient roots. It is disheartening to witness the ravages of war with Russia from afar. I present to you the images of a remarkable nation in peaceful times.
